The purpose of Pledge 2 Purity is to raise awareness and commitment among teens to the importance of living a life of purity. The event is also designed to help connect teens and their parents to regional ministries, churches and resources that provide services and encouragement to support their pledge to purity. The "Pledge 2 Purity" event is a collaborative effort among Christian ministries that serve teens and their parents in our region.

Last year, at Pledge 2 Purity 2007, thousands gathered at Freedom Hall to take part. Here's what they said...

"I think it's hard being any teenage age in today's world with all the pressure to be stylish and stuff. The world is pressuring teenagers to be really sexual and stuff. Teenagers just want to fit in."

The speaker Ryan Dobson encouraged the audience by helping them to remember that "God has a plan for your life. You know that, but you've stopped believing it."
