  • Teen Sexuality - Heatherly Sifford, Public Health Educator, Washington County Health Department
    • Speaker Bio:Heatherly obtained her B.S. in Public Health, with a concentration in Patient Education, from East Tennessee State University in May, 2005. She currently works with the Tennessee Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention and the Rape and Violence Programs with the Washington County Health Department. Heatherly is a member of the Washington County Health Council, the Washington County Anti-Drug Coalition and the Tennessee Suicide Prevention Network. She also works with area high school teens on issues of concern to them and their peers. Heatherly attends Our Saviour Lutheran Church, Johnson City.

  • Alcohol & Drugs – Andrea Darr, WV DEC Coordinator, WV Prosecuting Attorney’s Institute
    • Speaker Bio: Andrea is the Victim Witness Coordinator for the West Virginia Prosecuting Attorneys Institute where she has been employed for the last three years. She also serves as chairperson for the WV Drug Endangered Children Task Force which she established in 2005 in an effort to provide a consistent coordinated approach to the safety and environmental permanency of children who are affected by their parents/guardians illicit drug use. She represents the WV Prosecuting Attorneys Institute on several boards regarding victim issues. Andrea is a native of Johnson City and makes regular visits to family members still living in the area. When she is in Johnson City, she attends North Johnson City Baptist Church. In WV she attends a Methodist Church.

  • Teen Depression – Beth Schreiner, RN,MSN, Assistant Professor, ETSU College of Nursing
    • Speaker Bio: Beth has worked in psychiatric-mental health nursing for 23 years. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree from East Tennessee State University and a Master’s in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Beth is board certified with the American Nurses Credentialing Center as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. Having held positions ranging from staff nurse to Director of Nursing, she currently teaches as an Assistant Professor in the ETSU College of Nursing. Beth is married and has a 14 year-old daughter. She and her family are active members of Boones Creek Christian Church.

  • Media/Internet Safety – Barry Young, Children’s Pastor, Heritage Baptist Church
    Robert Kell, Student Ministries Pastor, Heritage Baptist Church
    • Speaker Bios: Robert has been in student ministry for over 10 years. His passions are family ministry and youth culture. He is a consultant for the Tennessee Baptist Convention for the Northeast region of the state and assists in leading youth ministry for over 100 churches in the Holston Baptist Association. Robert is currently on staff at Heritage Baptist Church, Johnson City, where he has been for the last three years. He and his wife, Melissa, have been married eight years and have two wonderful boys.

      Barry has been the Children’s Pastor at Heritage Baptist Church, Johnson City, for seven years. He grew up in the Tri-Cities and has been married to his wife, Mendi, for 12 years. Barry has a passion for leadership, missions, and family ministry. He believes that churches should be meeting the culture around them in a relevant way with the message of Christ.
